The Church Endures
The Church endures—not because she is mighty, but because her Lord is mighty.
Charged with carrying the most sacred message of all time, she is opposed from without and betrayed from within.
She is met with hostility and deception, yet she clings to her Redeemer.
Instead of being weakened, she is strengthened.
How many wolves have ravaged the flock?
How many bellies of beasts have been filled?
How many scandals have tarnished her witness?
How many times has noise tried to drown out her message, and confusion obscured the precious truths she was sent to proclaim?
Yet she stands.
Not because she is comprised of flawless individuals, but because her foundation is Christ. Her survival was never secured by her purity or talent or strength, but by the promise of her King.
The Church may tremble, but she will never fall.
The Lord holds her fast.
